Conduct requirements workshops and user interviews to identify business requirements, processes, workflows, use cases, and user stories for complex systems
Translate business needs into necessary functional, systems and data requirements and document them accordingly
Build and maintain effective, collaborative, credible working relationships, and active communication channels with all stakeholders
Work closely, actively, and collaboratively, from beginning to end, with UI/UX Designers and Software Engineers to develop a shared understanding of the business, and make team decisions on solution options to meet the business requirements
Develop Epics and Stories for the delivery process, providing content, contributing to the elaboration and acceptance criteria, and leading communication of them to the delivery team(s).
Test and validate outputs according to user acceptance criteria and feedback any defects to the development team
Actively resolve/mitigate/escalate risks/issues/events which may affect strategic delivery and ensure the expectations by internal and external stakeholders are managed accordingly
Meeting internal deadlines within budget and achieving quality standards
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent field of study
1-3 years Business Analyst experience in a software development team/project
Mastery of business analysis principles, processes, and techniques.
Good expertise on SDLC in complex systems
Good knowledge of Source to Target Mapping, System analysis, Business analysis, Solution definition, Solution development, Solution implementation, System testing
Track record of customer focus, based on openness, trust, and delivering on promises
Ability to understand and represent the needs of the end user in a software development environment
Strong communication skills
Discipline, accountability, responsibility, and persistence in achieving end goals
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent organizational, negotiation, presentation, and time management skills
Proficient with MS Office: Word, and Excel, as well as working with industry-standard and agile measurement tools: e.g. JIRA and Confluence
Experience with modeling/diagramming tools: e.g. MS Visio, draw.io. Balsamiq is a plus.
Nice to have: Agile and DevOps knowledge, with experience of Scrum/Kanban.
Experience of working with 3rd party vendors or consultants is a plus
Working knowledge of market-leading data-related tools e.g. tools used for Data Visualization, Data Governance, Data Quality is a plus
